Moong Dal Cheela (Paneer-Stuffed)

Savoury moong dal pancakes stuffed with paneer.

    Soak 1.5 cups yellow moong dal 3 hrs. Drain and grind with green chili, ginger and ¾ cup water to a smooth pourable batter.

    Stir in chopped onion, coriander, ½ tsp cumin, ¼ tsp turmeric, ¼ tsp hing and salt.

    Filling: crumble 200 g paneer with chopped onion, capsicum, ½ tsp chaat masala, ½ tsp red chili, salt and coriander.

    Heat a tawa, brush with oil. Pour a ladle of batter and spread thin like a dosa.

    Drizzle ½ tsp oil; once set, scatter paneer filling on one half.

    Cook 1 min, fold over and serve hot with green chutney.
