Onion-Oats Cutlets

Crisp oats and onion patties with mint chutney.

    Dry-roast 1.5 cups rolled oats 2 mins; cool and powder lightly.

    Boil 3 potatoes; mash. Mix with 2 finely chopped onions, ginger-chili, coriander, ½ tsp red chili, ½ tsp garam masala, 1 tsp chaat masala, salt and the oats powder.

    Knead like a dough; shape round tikkis.

    Coat in remaining oats. Shallow-fry on tawa with 2 tbsp oil till golden and crisp on both sides.

    Serve hot with green chutney, ketchup and onion rings.
