Raw Banana Cutlets

Spiced raw banana patties with green chutney.

    Boil 4 raw bananas (with skin) 12 mins till knife-tender. Cool, peel and mash.

    Mix with chopped onion, green chili, ginger, coriander, ½ tsp red chili, ½ tsp garam masala, 1 tsp chaat masala, juice of ½ lemon and salt.

    Add 3 tbsp roasted poha/breadcrumbs for binding.

    Shape tikkis; dust in semolina or breadcrumbs.

    Shallow-fry in 2 tbsp oil till crisp golden on both sides.

  6. 6

    Serve hot with mint chutney and a salad.
